While storage heaters are usually highly resilient, they do occasionally break down. Whether one of the electrical prongs breaks or there's an issue with some wiring the technicians at storageheater.ie are confident we can help. Once, we even had someone try to fix it themselves, open the storageheater up and proceed to spill candle wax all over the inside! If we can fix that, there's a good chance we can sort out more traditional problems!
A standard issue with the storage heater is one of the electrical prongs breaking - Those are the pieces of metal that the electricity runs through below.
If this happens you should know straight away, as the section with the broken prong will be cold, while the rest of the working prongs should be hot as long as they're working normally. You can figure this out by hovering your hand over the storage heater and all the electrician needs to do is take out the old prong and fit a new one!
There can also be an issue with a thermostat. If the thermostat breaks it could be telling your storage heater that it's hot when it isn't even if everything else works fine. This is the standard issue if the heater stops working entirely. It's much more likely that the thermostat breaks than every single prong breaks at the same time.
There are other less common issues that can arise - such as wiring, problems with the bricks and even candle wax (even we don't want to know how that happened). But it's safe to say that if you have an issue with your storage heater the electricians here can handle it without any hassle. We work with them all day, every day. When you call us, you're calling the experts.
